How do I set up my email? |
HostCONCEPT web hosting clients can set up POP Accounts,
Forwarders/Aliases, & Auto-Responders in the Website Control Panel
that comes with every HostCONCEPT web hosting package. This can be
done by yourself, and without any assistance from the HostCONCEPT
staff. |

How do I upload my files? |
All HostCONCEPT web hosting packages allow the usage of FTP, File
Manager, MS FrontPage™, and other web development publishing
programs, to upload files to your website. |

How do I use my existing domain with your hosting service? |
To use an existing
domain with a HostCONCEPT web hosting package, you are only required
to transfer the DNS or name servers of your domain to ours. This
information will be provided to you shortly after your order is
processed. The entire process may take 24-48 hours to complete and
is beyond our control. |

How do I transfer my domain name? |
Unless you want
HostCONCEPT to become your domain registrar, it is absolutely
unnecessary for you to transfer your domain to us. To do so, simply
fill out the domain transfer form and we will take over from here. A
successful domain transfer may take 3-5 days to complete and is
beyond our control. |

What is included in my website package? |
HostCONCEPT provides full hardware, software, support, and system
administration for your HostCONCEPT hosting solution. The software
provided includes the operating system, ftp & email software, web
server software, and a website control panel. HostCONCEPT even
includes free e-commerce shopping cart software. Everything you need
to conduct business on the Internet, or maintain a personal website,
is included in your HostCONCEPT hosting solution. HostCONCEPT will
provide basic support on services/software that we provide you with
your account. HostCONCEPT does not develop your website for you, or
provide tech support on how to use software products that we do not
provide to you directly even if our web servers support them. We are
always more than willing to help you if we can though with external
issues whenever time permits. |

How many sites are currently hosted per server? |
Unlike other hosting providers that offer conventional shared
hosting where hundreds of websites are cramped under one web server
machine and share a single hosting environment, HostCONCEPT utilizes
the Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS) technology where each of our
servers is divided into blocks of independent hosting environment.
Each VDS block is installed with its own operating system and web
services, and functions exactly as a truly independent web server
machine. Any problem experienced in one VDS block does not affect
the other VDS blocks. Whereas in conventional shared hosting, a
problem caused by one website or web service will affect all other
websites hosted on the entire server.
HostCONCEPT limits the number of websites hosted on each VDS block
to 2 or 36, depending on which hosting package you select.
Nevertheless, HostCONCEPT does not always host up to the limit as we
understand that sometimes 10 websites can consume more resources
than 36 websites altogether. HostCONCEPT monitors each server's
performance levels and attempts to maintain a low server load
average and high CPU availability. As needed, HostCONCEPT will move
a group of higher resource-consuming websites to another VDS block
with less hosted websites or an entirely new VDS block, to maintain
a balance of resource availability in all VDS blocks. If necessary,
HostCONCEPT will upgrade the hardware to increase server
performance. Individual websites that become to much for the server
to handle, and utilize too much server resources, are moved to
servers set up specifically for such resource intensive accounts. |

Can I host more than one domain name per account? |
HostCONCEPT charges additional fees for every extra domain name you
point to your account. For a domain name that is parked on top of
your main domain name, the cost is a $5 setup fee. You may use a
JavaScript or an index.cgi script to redirect from that domain name
to a sub-directory at no additional charge. HostCONCEPT charges a
$10 setup fee, and $10.00 monthly for every additional domain name
parked to a sub-directory. Each additional domain name parked on
top, or to a sub-directory, will be able to setup their own email
forwarders through the main account's control panel. Parked domain
names do not receive a control panel of their own. HostCONCEPT
usually recommends the very inexpensive "VDS Professional" accounts
($10.00 monthly) instead, due to the fact that they come with their
own control panel functionality. |
